This project is focused on delivering filming, production, and editing education to children in communities who do not have access to it.

The goal to teach children a valuable skill they can use as a future career path or as a tool in their business where they will have the ability to film and create their own marketing content through professional storytelling.

This project is aimed at equipping the youth to be able to tell positive local stories that impact and inspire their community.

The project is run in partnership with Hart Land Broadcasting. They are the subject experts, providing the curriculum and facilitating the classes.

The classes are preplanned lessons that the students follow under the supervision of the subject expert. The lessons are based on market related experience to ensure that the students are equipped with skills that are relevant to the needs of the marketplace.

A student only requires a mobile phone with a camera and a tripod to be able to participate in the course. A smartphone lowers the barrier to entry compared to camera equipment because of cost which allows access to a community previously excluded.

Using a mobile phone as the training tool still allows students to learn the basics of filming, production, and editing.

Each student requires a mobile phone, tripod, and internet connection to ensure they do the work and receive credit for the final product.

For each mobile workstation with internet connection in this project, we can educate a child at a location in their community.

The long term goal is to transfer business and entrepreneurial skills to these students through starting and running small business as a project.

Those who produce content need to partner up with those who create online shops or websites and the producers of products to start and run a business.

These skills will allow the content creators to capture the products to be sold on an online platform in an attractive professional manner. It then only requires marketing and distribution for the product to reach the customer.

This will force them to think like business owners who take responsibility rather than employees who just take orders and collect a paycheck.
